Lyle Vorsatz holds a BSc, BSc (hons) (Cum laude) and MSc (Cum laude) in Biodiversity and Conservation Biology from The University of the Western Cape. He recently submitted an interdisciplinary PhD at Rhodes University while based at the South African Institute for Aquatic Biodiversity on the roles of mangrove microhabitats for ecologically and economically important invertebrate and fish larvae. Outside of academia he enjoys sports, running, hiking and being out in nature.
